'To the Front Line'
Us soldiers marching in sync left and right.Front-line.JPG
Loaded rifles held high up to the sky.
Some excited to fight, some still in fright.
Thinking about loved ones, waving goodbye.

Getting basic meals from packets and cans.
We keep training in boot camps, day and night.
Lieutenants explaining the battle plans.
We are now ready, we leave at first light.

Approaching now our first arrival-spot.
In army trucks, a rugged ride indeed.
Cross-firing starting, I nearly get shot.
Blood and bullets now flying at mach speed.

Solving problems with wars is not a gain.
There just is no point - all we get is pain.

Spring Time
Spring time is the season of fragrant scents,Flowers rejuvenate the thick woodlands,Blooming flowers are God’s little presents,My meaning of spring, no-one understands.
Sheets of morning dew have coated meadows,Water droplets drop off daisies' faces,Bouquets of flowers make their own spring shows,And seedlings sprout from their soil-bound bases.
Cherry blossoms’ sun-kissed reflections bright,Spectacular colours in flower beds,Orchids fill the timberlands with delight,Trees flourish joyfully above our heads.
Growing grass on hilltops, emerald green,Spring makes the whole wide world a great new scene.

To the Me in the Mirror

I look at myself, you look back at me.
I see a world in reverse formation.
Each move I make you copy to a tee.
We sometimes have silent conversations.

They always say that opposites attract.
Despite this I only feel a surface.
But when I’m with you, you’re abstract.
You have such elegance and artifice.

Granted, you only appear when I pass.
When we are together we have a blast.
In spite of the fact you are only glass.
but I know this friendship will always last.

After a while some friendships will end.
But you will always have your Mirror Friend.

Black Sheep.
What’s it called when you think outside the boxWhen you see the unseen, hear the unheardWhen you’re the black sheep in the white sheep flocksThat....is creativity, that’s the word
What is it called when you write on that wallThe words, only they don’t see it as grandWhat is it called when you ignore them allBecause only your friends can understand
What’s it called when you think outside the boxWhen everyday you just write on that wallWhen you’re the white sheep in the black sheep flocksWhat is it called when you ignore them all
When you see the unseen, hear the unheardThat’s creativity. That is the word….

Summer Sonnet
The sun that glistens over the blue sea,
We farewell the dark and winters cold,
Sitting under the shade of meadow trees,
And it shall and will be this way till old.

The cheer and ease of summer seems a gift,
Laying on a beach on a sunny day,
The warmth of long days give a lift,
Where worries and regret will go away.

Autumn, winter, spring have all gone by,
The early morning sun and the warm nights,
Clouds that disappear into the blue sky,
Glancing at birds getting ready for flight.

These are the joy-fullest moments of life,
When summer colours in their fullest arrive.

Not Just Another SeasonBy Jordan Jarman

Droplets of rain falling upon the roof
Heaters are on in every single room
People taking pictures of snow for proof
Patiently waiting for the thunders boom.

Clutching onto the sides of the hot mug
Wrapped up in blankets in the corner chair
After a home cooked meal I feel quite snug
Throwing some wood into the fires flare.

Everyone hiding from the winters blow
Red noses and sickness are in the air
Local schools are closing because of the snow
Hail stones falling upon the outside chairs.

The faded grass has colour to regain
Waiting for the season come again.
